Ten to fourteen inches in overall length, these carefully forged blades are skillfully heat treated in an immersion bath method to achieve a Rockwell hardness of 61 degrees C. This means that sharpening the chisels may take a few extra minutes, but they hold an edge significantly longer than almost any other Chisel.
After heat treating, the blades are polished to a rich finish that makes them a joy to use. Fitting appropriate handles is the final step in producing these highest quality German chisels.
