Sharpening Stones

Sharpening stones come in many forms and grits. The harder the stone or the higher the grit the more polished the edge and the less material removed. Depending on the tool being sharpened, it will usually take a couple of grits to get a satisfactory edge. Japanese water stones are very popular as is the Arkansas surgical stones.
