In this video, Blackburn explains the functions of stiles, rails, and muntins and he shows how to combine them into a well-designed frame. Working with both classic hand tools and common woodworking machines, Blackburn joins his frame with mortises and haunched tenons. He shows you how to groove the frame members to hold the panel. And, at the end of the video he demonstrates draw-boring-the neat old way of making tight joints in a frame without glue. Graham Blackburn is a writer, illustrator, and book designer who lives in Woodstock, NY. He has been an editor of the California-based Woodwork magazine and a contributing editor to Fine Woodworking, Blackburn is the author and illustrator of more than a dozen books on woodworking and home repair.
