    Can the knives be re-sharpened? No, the knives are not to be re-sharpened. They are however, double sided. Since the knives are set via indexing pins, attempting to re-sharpen the edges will alter the amount of material on the knife edge and change the way the way they cut the wood.

    Can a Byrd style spiral cutter head be installed on this machine? No, we do not recommend installing a spiral cutter head. Spiral cutter heads will typically pull more amps while under load. This could lead to the 15 Amp motor to blow breakers or fail prematurely.
